Drop in Sessions

Most of the HUS team and some fellow students will be hanging out in the Marquee (near the Hall, marked out on your map – but you can see it easily from West House anyway). We will be around to answer any questions you have about settling in, maybe the wifi password or where the hall is?! There is also the opportunity to roam the extensive grounds of Homerton and sit down and socialise with your fellow students (although we would ask you to abide by the rule of 6). There will also be a Zoom session running all day with at least one HUS member sitting in to chat and answer questions, feel free to drop in at any time (the meeting link is https://zoom.us/j/9817231501.) We’ll have the option to join breakout rooms or just chat generally with people.

Possible Events Tonight

Unfortunately, the HUS can’t run events this year like we normally would due to household and general COVID-19 restrictions. But there are quite a few things that we can suggest for you to just go out and do in your households around Cambridge! We’d recommend touring the Botanical Gardens, visiting the arcade, bowling or cinema in the Retail Park next to Homerton, or heading to one of the many pubs around Cambridge (like the Flying Pig, The Regal or The Eagle to name a few).

  • Bowling is 50% off Monday-Wednesday, and now have table/lane service.
  • Most places will be closed at 10PM due to COVID-19 restrictions.
