Chemical Engineering is about turning raw materials into valuable products on an industrial scale. These products can range from oil, chemicals to foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals which are found and used in our everyday life.
In addition to a broad knowledge of natural sciences, engineering, mathematics and information technology, chemical engineers are also required to know economics, management, safety and the environment.
In your first year you get to choose between Natural Sciences or Engineering before converging to Chemical Engineering in your second year. This allows you to gain an overview over the different subjects first and specialize later. Our newly built department (finished in 2015) provides all the facilities needed to put theory into practice.
Our small and very friendly community organizes barbecues, pub quizzes and career talks.
